All In Heels Weddings and Events Planning Firm: Favorite Vendor Spotlight

One of the first questions I ask my couples when they contact me is if they have hired a wedding planner.  I always encourage my couples in my initial meetings with them (before they’ve even hired ME), to hire one. The average wedding, according to TheKnot.com, can take about 200 plus hours to plan.  This can be extremely overwhelming for a busy couple, no matter how big or small of a wedding they are planning to have.  There is a lot of information to digest, especially during the beginning, and having a planner by your side, can help ease the stress that comes along with the choices and deadlines when making a decision. However, just in case you are feeling that you can pull the planning process off all by yourself, below is a list of reasons why I think you should consider hiring one.

Minimizes Stress: Who wants to be stressed out on their wedding day? Having a planner can ease the stress that you may feel during the planning process. They will give you peace of mind that things will get done.  On your wedding day, one of the most important assurances you can have is that you will be able to relax, enjoy the fruits of your labor, and most importantly live in the moment.

Saves Money: Wedding planners are familiar with the wedding industry, what things should cost, and the difference in value. They can help guide and advise you on how much you should be spending and balance your budget around YOUR priorities.

Saves Time: Now imagine being completely unfamiliar with the wedding industry and knowing that there are 30 options for florists, a 50 options for caterers, 70 options for DJs, and hundreds of options in 10 other categories.  This could be overwhelming. Enough said.

Turn your vision into reality:  Wedding planners are a huge creative resource.  So whether you know exactly what you want, have a vague idea, or no idea at all, a wedding planner can help you define a look, mood, style, and emotion you want to create for your day.  They know the latest trends, can visualize what looks best in your venue, and can help turn your vision into reality.

Wedding planner vs. “venue” wedding coordinator:  When you book a venue they often give you a “wedding coordinator” from the venue to help coordinate the day. What a lot of brides misunderstand is that this person is NOT the same as an independent wedding planner.  He or she is the venue’s manager and their job is to make sure that everything having to do with the facility runs smoothly. While they are helpful, they do not cover the full scope like an independent wedding planner.

So far in my career, I have had the opportunity to work with some of the most talented and personable vendors in the wedding industry. I love to refer my clients to professionals I have worked with, and who I truly believe will do an amazing job for them. I  recently worked with  All in Heels, a full service weddings and events firm, founded by Mia N. Barnes and Roxanne T. Paul.  They produce events inspired by their client’s vision coupled with their event design expertise.  As a result they offer uniquely and unforgettably tailored affairs, styled for and with each client in mind.  When I first met Mia and Rox I totally fell in love with their energy and personality.  To see what I mean,  check them out below.  I got the chance to meet up with them and chitchat a little bit about their business!  <3

P I N THISthis to pinterest What got you interested in working in the wedding industry?

We both separately shared similar entrepreneurial aspirations! Our interest in the industry was solidified simply because of our love of all things design & style.
Previously but individually, Mia & I had both planned & designed several events which included weddings, social events & birthday parties for family, friends & corporately….We each shared a natural affinity for planning & executing the details…..SO….when we met, on that GRAND day…., and shared our individual ideas, hopes & dreams….it was again a NO brainier…. All in Heels was then created!

What is your favorite part of the wedding planning process?

Our favorite part of the wedding & event planning process would absolutely have to be the finished product. The moment we see our clients happy, we know we have done an awesome job! — It’s the culmination of hard work; late nights and early mornings with a sprinkle of our clients happiness, all wrapped up in one!! ~It’s the icing on the cupcake! P I N THISthis to pinterestP I N THISthis to pinterest

What is your favorite part of  the wedding day?
Our favorite part of the wedding day is the moment our bride walks down the aisle to her groom, who is beaming with love and anticipation. It’s the sweetest moment EVER!!

Is there something that is often overlooked but very important wedding detailed?
The most overlooked detail, in our experience, is always the smallest detail(s). And can honestly vary from client to client; the escort card table & decor is a detail that clients overlook or don’t focus on. But really sets the stage for guests entry into the reception.
For us, as planners, it would be ensuring we get photos of our work. We have had terrible luck, until we met YOU, Thank goodness!!! :)
Awww thank you soo much!!! Sweetest compliment ever!!
