Downtown Baton Rouge, LA| Nerri + Jeremy| Engaged

I just love when I have a lot in common with my brides. Nerri and I love to throw a great themed party! Creating a pinterest board and pinning all kinds of ideas to it and actually implementing them is the best part of the entire planning process. So it was no surprised to me when Nerri decided to go all out and plan her and her twin sister’s 30th birthday party.  It was going to be a dirty 30 crawfish boil to include an elaborate crawfish designed cake.  Everything was crawfish related and it was going to be fun!  What Nerri did not know was that Jeremy had been planning with her sister, a surprise proposal that he would do that day.  Halfway through the party, Nerri’s  family and close friends stood up one by one to give their birthday wishes to her and her sister.  When it was Jeremy’s turn, he got down on one knee and like a hopeless romantic, tears and more tears followed by the both of them.  For Nerri, who is always in the know when it comes to planning an event, this was such a simple but sweet sweet surprise!

After a recent trip to Louisiana, I got the opportunity to catch up with these two love birds!! We started their engagement session at the Capitol Park Museum and ended it at Arsenal Park.  It was supposed to rain, but we decided to chance it and boy were we glad that we did! Not one drop of rain fell from the sky and the light was simply beautiful!  We had a lot of fun together and man was it easy capturing their love on camera.  I absolutely cannot wait to see what Nerri will have crafted up for their Alexandra wedding this fall!!!
